Who we are
Redpillings is an online repository of facts and fact-based articles on a wide range of political topics.
We launched amid the 2020 George Floyd protests in an effort to sideline conjecture and bring data to the forefront of conversations about race and police brutality.
We cultivated a loyal following by posting digestible and short-form content on Instagram (our main platform), primarily aiming to scrutinize popular political narratives.
Since then, we have expanded our efforts to a variety of platforms and a host of pressing issues.
Setting the scene
If it bleeds, it leads.
In a media-scape characterized by rampant sensationalism and groupthink, the facts can be hard to come by―especially if they don't fit the narrative.
Dramatized anecdotes pass for scientific evidence. Isolated events are treated as everyday occurrences. The truth has become "your truth" and "my truth."
The antidote
Our primary goal is to rein in popular political narratives that are either (1) unsupported by the facts or (2) omissive of evidence that supports an alternate viewpoint.
In the latter case, we aim to present the other side of the coin in a way that is both comprehensive and fact-based―without unnecessary blather or editorialization.
We retrieve our information primarily from academic and government authorities and peer-reviewed sources, all of which are cited meticulously for readers to verify.
